A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE
Eleanor Walters is obliged to marry the irascible, but decidedly attractive, Lord Leo Upminster. A marriage of convenience is better than being destitute, she reasons. Leo, an ex-colonel, is a man used to being obeyed instantly. He finds Eleanor's behaviour infuriating, her beauty irresistible and their agreement not to consummate the marriage increasingly impossible. It is only when he allows his frustration and jealousy to drive her away that he understands what he has lost. Meanwhile, in her self-imposed exile on a neglected country estate, Eleanor becomes embroiled in riots and treachery. In a desperate race, can Leo save both her life and their marriage?

A HOUSE PARTY
When Lady Dalrymple, Penelope Coombs great-aunt, accepts Lord Weston’s invitation to join his house party, Penny is most displeased. She was slighted by the Earl of Rushford during her season and has no wish to repeat the experience. Lord Edward Weston, who secretly works for the British government, is searching for the traitor who is smuggling gold to France. Ned suspects the villain is travelling with an air balloon party, so invites the balloonist to his home in order to investigate his suspicions. Penny is almost abducted on her ride over to Headingly Court and this is the beginning of a series of ever more alarming events. James Weston is there to offer his support and comfort. He is charming and not at all arrogant and irascible like his cousin Ned. Will the handsome Frenchman, Count Everex, evade capture or succeed with his nefarious plans?

I liked the characters and the basic story but the transition from being total strangers, or disliking each other to madly in love was to quick. The couple might be in lust that quick but a felt there needed to be more interaction before they started calling each other "love" and "sweetheart" etc. It seemed that they were at daggers drawn and then I'd turn the page and all was sunshine and roses between them.

The Regency Series Boxset One edition by Fenella J Miller Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I got my 99¢ worth from this set. These were enjoyable as I love arrogant, overbearing, irascible heroes. I love when they meet an independent women willing to stand up to them. However, I get really irritated with the females when they butt in on matters that aren't their concern or which they don't have all the facts such as when Penny continued to try to get info from the Count. I will continue to read this author's books
Love this series of books so much I rushed out the buy the second set. Great reads, couldn't put them down
I really enjoyed all three stories. Good basic Regency. I would recommend to any one to spend $.99 and enjoy these books.
I wanted to like them but genuinely couldn't enjoy them. I felt fully like I was being force fed a story in which the author assumed I had the IQ of a fifth grader. There was no mystery. There was no breadcrumb trail to figure out. There was only a cracked loaf of bread with instructions for what to do with it. The behavior of the characters was so unbelievably nonsensical that I actually cringed. From the first two chapters in each book, I was able to derive the over predictable end. Sorry, Ms. Miller. You are not my cup of tea. I don't mind an average read to give me a little diversion, but this was so bad it took me many attempts to get through it and at no point in any of the books that other than I purchased these books did I have any other motivation to finish them.
This was a new author to me and the price was right. But this goes back to the old adage...you get what you pay for. These books were not the greatest. It was not money well spent...even at 99 cents.
There was adventure, romance, spies, fireworks, smugglers and many other aspects to these stories. I didn't want to stop reading. Well plotted. The final story was my favorite, and the most adventure.
I enjoy reading really good Regency Romance stories. These 3 stories were real good. They had interest stories and characters that kept me reading from one story to the next. The author builds her stories well with background of the area in which the stories take place. Plus she brings family and friend into the stories. I enjoyed this author so much, I ordered and the Duke Series!
